IN-PERSON TRAINING

JOIN ME AT THE GYM

  1. Initial Consultation

I think it’s a good idea to meet up for a chat, maybe a coffee, and a walk around the gym. That way, you’ll discover I’m not catfishing you as a serial killer.

We’ll have a chat about your goals, training and injury history, and what you expect from me as your coach.

I won’t bore the life out of you with how much I deadlift or a video of the latest bicep curl variation. I’m there to learn more about you, your goals, and what you want from training together.

2. Start Training!

Now we’re done with the warm-up, let’s get down to the good stuff!

It's time to start seeing what you’re made of.

I’m not in the business of letting my clients ‘go through the motions’ in the gym. It’s a waste of time and money, and I’d much rather see you push yourself past what you thought possible.

I’m not talking about turning you into a hardened criminal; I’m talking about making you so strong that you could hang a whole army of toddlers from your biceps without breaking a sweat.

You’ll be so fit that the bus will be running after you.

3. Other Bits n’ Bobs

We’ll likely touch on nutrition, diet, lifestyle, and behaviour outside of training in general.

Whether your goals involve weight loss, gaining muscle, or are performance-related, lifestyle factors can greatly impact training progress.

‘Holistic’ is an overused word in the fitness space, but I do like to view training holistically. Life can be stressful; you might be sleeping 4 hours a night; and you might think peanut butter is a great source of protein (it’s not, by the way).

Some of the biggest improvements my clients have made have been on the back of ‘lifestyle’ changes - not specifically from training.

Setting your week up so you get to the gym as planned, eat nutritiously for most of your meals, and get enough sleep so your forehead isn’t slapping the keyboard before 10am - these are all important factors that I will want to consider so you get the most out of your training and, even more importantly, your life as a whole.

I like to pick the lowest-hanging fruit first because I’m lazy and don’t like climbing. Whether that fruit is your lack of exercise, your inability to stop snacking, or your sub-optimal sleep pattern - it’s an important piece of the puzzle that I want us to address together.

NOT FUSSED ABOUT BREATHING THE SAME AIR AS ME?

If you’re ready to breathe my air, let’s train together!
